What if I don’t know what I need help with, I just know I need help?
No problem! Many of our clients are too busy to figure out what would help but know they can’t do it all. We will make recommendations on items we can start on right away. Then as we build a relationship, you will see we know what you need before you do. Our clients love the peace of mind that follows.

Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, we are a fully insured and bonded company with a Washington State business license. We put a high value on your trust and do everything we can to put your mind at ease.

Will I be assigned the same assistant each time?
Yes, you will have a dedicated assistant hand picked for your needs. We have a talented team that may be available to provide additional support when needed. If your primary assistant is out sick or on vacation, another assistant can step in.

How do I contact my assistant?
At Pepper’s Personal Assistant, we use Slack to make sure we can deliver an outstanding experience to our clients.  Our goal is to provide you with a secure platform that can increase productivity and streamline communication, scheduling, and coordination directly with your PA. 

Do I pay the assistant directly for services?
No, for ongoing clients we offer convenient reoccurring biweekly subscriptions that automatically renew every two weeks. For any additional hours you will be invoiced at the end of each billing cycle and your credit card on file will be charged. A detailed receipt will be emailed to you.

How do assistants pay for purchases?
For purchases on your behalf, we’ve found it easiest to provide a credit card for your assistant. You can contact your credit card company to request an additional card in your pa’s name. You can also use a refillable debit card. We prefer Akimbo for it’s ease and little to no fees. Both options take 7-10 business days. In the meantime, you can set up a petty cash system, write a check, or transfer money via the Venmo app or Paypal. Personal assistants cannot make purchases on your behalf without payment first.

Are your services tax deductible?
If you request services related to your company or we act as a personal assistant, our services may be tax deductible as a business expense. Please check with your accountant or tax advisor.

Can I hire you for a one time job?
No, we only offer ongoing services with a minimum of 12 hours a week and a six month commitment. Our value comes from building long term relationships with our clients.

Do you have a minimum service time?
For ongoing regular scheduling we have a two hour on-site minimum. For errands and on-site tasks we have a two hour minimum. For remote tasks we charge in 15 minute increments.

Do you charge for travel?
We charge the normal hourly rate for errands. For travel more than 20 miles, we charge .56/mile.

Can my personal assistant move my couch or heavy boxes?
Personal assistants cannot lift more than 35 pounds. We can hire experts to do the heavy lifting.

How do you track my personal assistants hours and tasks?
We use Google Sheets to track hours and tasks. Employees put their hours by the end of the day so you can view your balance at any time.

Are the personal assistants employees of Pepper’s Personal Assistants?
Yes, all of our pa’s are W-4 employees. We believe it is an important part of providing great service and building a community that our clients and employees love. Pepper’s PA pays for employment taxes and benefits, including Washington’s new Sick Leave law. By law, employees are allowed a 10 minute paid break for every 4 hours worked and a 30 minute unpaid break for every 5 hours they work. This is all included in your hourly rate and one less thing for you to have to think about.

Will you protect my privacy?
We put a high value on privacy and have a strict confidentiality clause that all staff sign. All personal information will remain confidential. Pepper’s Personal Assistants will not sell or distribute any information about our clients.

What if I’m unhappy with my personal assistant or the service?
Please contact us at 206-228-5768 or  pepper@paseattle.com right away. Satisfaction is always a guarantee with Pepper’s Personal Assistants. If for any reason, you are not pleased with our service, we will correct our mistake or wave the charges.
